evacuation day
Doing my blog for Thursday I was late to work I had a flat tire I had to call my dad to get it his car and then we switched cars and I drove his car to work. I had to face a lot of headaches at work because I did not have my ID I had to get a temporary ID from the security services which I had to have stuck on my shirt for the entire day. At work I continued working on the program that I was working on the previous day. At around 10 o'clock we were required to take part in an emergency drill. This drill was supposed to be practiced by the whole state. At 10 o'clock there was an announcement asking everyone to go under their desk and stay there until further announcement. After about two minutes everyone were asked to evacuate the building. All of us formed to lines and walked down the stairways. After reaching the basement of the building everyone came outside the building and walked to the designated spots. We had to report to our supervisors to get tickets after they ensured a headcount. I got myself an orange was before the evacuation so that I did not feel hungry. After everyone was out of the building and in their spaces, we were let back in the building after a short while. After going back into the building and went to check out the gym. It was some cardio class so I attended it. I have been having some issues with my back so I did some of the back exercises prescribed by the instructor. Off to the cardio class I head back to my desk on the 13th floor. I had lunch at my desk and then continued working. My coworker brought me some macros that he wanted me to work on. He wanted me to create objects of code that could be reused whenever required. After finishing work I headed down to the yoga class so that I could continue working on my back. I found the older stretches helpful to my back. The instructor was really nice and watching her was motivating. After the yoga class I headed to the parking lot and then and then drove to the security checkpoint to get out of the building. Since I did not have my ID and my parking permit the security guy he was giving me a hard time. I wrote on my information my ID number and my name. This guy was known for being a prick. I went and got a sticker from a coworker of mine. But then the security guy said that I could not use that sticker since I was an employee. He then asked me for my temporary ID and took it. I shouldn't have given it to him but then it was too late I already gave it to him. So I left the building in an upset mood. I wanted to go back and get my temporary ID from him but then I realized he would try to cause more problems. So that was my day on Thursday, the evacuation Day.
